Minister, Chaplain Jerry L. Simmons, the middle son of three boys, was born to Jerry Fields and Vernell Simmons in Harlem, NY.   Minister Simmons is currently a member of the Mount Aery Baptist Church serving as an Associate Minister with a certification in Mental Health First Aide and working as an IAF trained leader, in Bridgeport, CT where the Reverend Dr. Anthony Bennett is the pastor.  In 1997, he attended the New York Institute of Technology and received his degree in Culinary Arts.  Shortly thereafter, his ministerial journey began at Greater Works Apostolic Ministries in Central Islip, NY under Apostle Joan M. Hicks.  During that time, he founded “Manhood Praise” dance ministry: he has had the honor of opening for Daryl Coley, The Clark Sisters, and debuted at Twinkie Clark’s taping of the “Live from Charlotte” album.

He is gifted in preaching and teaching and enjoys sharing knowledge with others as a preacher, graduation speaker, seminar leader and conference speaker.  Minister Simmons, also a Chaplain, has been a Youth Pastor, member of the Eldad Medad Men’s Dance Ministry at his former church and in addition to heeding God’s call to preach, he is gifted vocally and in mime.  He served as the New York School Food Regional Training Manager where he prepared new employees on the policies and procedures of the organization, including professional and leadership development until recently.  He is now a supervisor and considers both assignments as another form of ministry.  He and his wife reside in Danbury, CT.
